College Covered was a site made for students, parents, and counselors. It focuses on delivering content about the college application process, ways to find scholarships, articles about college life, and articles about life after college.
I was brought onto the project to refine the site and to create a new resource hub for students applying to college. This new hub was meant to be something useful students and parents could reference no matter the stage they were on in the college process.
During the early phases of the design process, I looked at different versions for layout and approach for the resource hub. I did this to see if there were other patterns and templates we could bring to the site but also to make the site easy for students to use.
We explored two approaches where one was a simplified resource hub and the other a gallery of articles for students to explore. We ultimately decided to run with both versions and user test them to see which worked best.
Thanks to the College Covered team for the opportunity and for the Kettle team supporting on copy, art direction, and development of the site.
