This project required an execution of a series of observational drawings. Each illustration had to be observed from life, either through a photo or through action analysis. One goal for this was to explore character design and to finding out how to represent expression with minimal line work.
The idea for this project was inspired by a visit to Paris, France. While visiting the city there were thousands of pedestrians in the streets. Each person wore different colored clothes and wore different styles. The people within Paris were big source of inspiration for this project. Green and red colors were used throughout the collections because of the interesting effects they have on each other. Analogous colors, each colored form effects one another either through value or through temperature. Forms are dictated by shape within these illustrations set, instead of some heavy line work. While lines were determined by surrounding colors.
